Happy Valentine's week, everyone! This year, Stephen and I decided to celebrate the occasion a week early since we will be staying with my family over Valentine's. We decided to have a mini stay-cation so we looked around online and found a great deal for a un-named 4.5 star hotel on hotwire.com. Lucky for us it just so happened to be The Joule, which is an amazing boutique hotel in downtown Dallas. Upon arrival, we were greeted by smiling faces offering us complementary champagne and also notified that we could use the house Escalade for trips within a 5 mile radius. Sigh, I love little luxuries like taking the house Escalade out, don't you? Wink wink?
The lobby is gorgeous with bright colors and modern art everywhere.
Our room {The Demi Joule} was on the small side, but actually plenty of space for a short stay. Love the ambiance and feel of all the finishes in the room: dark shiny wood, stainless steel, and plush white bedding.
The shower was amazing! Felt like I was in a fancy car wash!
The bathroom had it's own wall art. Truly the mark of an upscale place.
After a nice sushi dinner, we came back to the hotel and enjoyed a yummy room service dessert. This chocolate peanut butter bar was insanely good. So rich I could only eat a couple of bites... lucky my husband doesn't have the same feeling toward sweets! We had such a good time at the Joule and our early Valentine's day! I want to celebrate Valentine's a weekend early from now on... no lines, less traffic, no fixed dinner menu. Seriously a good idea!
