Thankful

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by loved ones this past week. I made these Pecan Pie Croissants with the assistance of my little sister (she did most of the work lol) and oh man, they turned out amaaazing. So good right out of the oven and perfect for a Sunday brunch. I can't wait to make them again!

Basically we just took Pillsbury croissant dough, brushed a little butter on the inside and filled them with pecan pie filling. (My sister made the pie filling from the back of the Caro Syrup bottle if you are interested). Then we rolled them up, put a little egg wash on top, and let them bake according to the dough instructions. After they came out of the oven, my sister finished them off with some cinnamon glaze (basically just a doughnut glaze with some cinnamon sprinkled in) and then added some chopped pecans on top. Really a simple recipe but sooooo worth it.

I'm back at home now, writing this while relaxing in bed with the hubs and looking forward to all of the holiday events coming up. My favorite time of year for sure! So thankful for the time we were able to spend with family and looking forward to much more.
